Heat actually makes it worse. I tried having some hot soup yesterday since well everyone knows that hot soup is suppose to help you get better. It aggravated it to no end. Was not a fun idea. So right now I am sticking to cold products such as ice cream and ice cold water. Basically it's a form of tonsillitis I guess...

Oo Don't drink alcohol, 1 because I'm not 21 yet (another year) and 2 it just doesn't appeal to me. Chloraseptic spray is amazing stuff though... I wish my dad would hurry up and bring me the new bottle of the stuff since I'm running low. >.>

I went 4 days with extreme pain whenever I would eat or drink something. I finally broke down and went to the health center when it felt like somebody was driving a spike through my throat. I'm defianetly not a "lightweight" when it comes to pain. Cool thing about me, my arms have no nerve endings or dead nerve endings. I can cut through my skin on my forearms with no pain what so ever. I have actually purposely made myself bleed just to show I can. Pain is not something that normally gets to me.

hmm, i had back and stomach problems for around 8 years now, and they still think i'm "hypocondric" though i never proclaim pain or anything, funny thing is, they tested me so many times now it's crazy, oh well with time the pain ain't that bad, you get used to it

pain....something I know full well about (endomitriosis---look it up sometime) have had 2 pinched disks in my lower back since college (20 year reunion this year, ugh) and now dumb bursitis in my knee (dang trick knee)....
pain, get to know your pain killer of choice, mine is ibuprofen...aspirin on works on fevers for me, and tylenol (can spell an...) doesnt do a thing, not a single thing----found that out when I had one of my molars worked on---then went on bandtour (college over spring break all 4 years)....and found that the bayer and tylenol in doses of 6 or 7 each did NOTHING to kill the pain, while just 4 advil dulled it for 3 hours....and ya'know you arent supposed to take it for 4.

oO Ohh cosy you are in some baaaaaaaaaaddd shape. My pain killer of choice is also ibuprofen but for this it doesn't seem to work. oO I usually take 3 ibuprofen pills that help. But meh, I'll get over it at some point.

yeah I know ---nothing seems to work on my knee....sometimes heat will take my pain down a notch, but that's it, even tried some funky ones when I lived in japan--but only got an upset stomach and still had the pain. (japan is NOT the place to go if you want pain killers---their idea is to deal with it so their pain killers are whimpy at best).

That bites cosy. My senior year of high school something happened and I couldn't bend my knee at all for about a month. That was fun, never did figure out what was wrong with me. Good fun.

Oh man i never take pain killers, i'm against pills, not that people shouldn't use them, but i get better by THINKING i get better, just like pills actually, they are nothing but psychotic, though somehelp, like ibuprofen, and i agree Cosy your in a way bad shape, sorry to hear that, but why talk about pain here? shouldn't we talk about faeries and leprechauns ?
